Talwood State School is located 90 km west of Goondiwindi, within the Darling Downs South West region. The school first opened its doors on November 4, 1918 and will celebrate its historic centenary in November of 2018.
Located within an agricultural setting, most students attend from neighbouring properties in the district. The district is rich in cotton and wheat production as well as livestock and dry land farming.
The school currently operates two classrooms (P/1/2 & 3-6), and has a specialist music teacher visit once a week. Our school is very closely linked to the community and has a devoted and supportive P&C.
